Hello Unihertz community!
We’re excited to announce a fresh software update for the Titan 2 — packed with improvements to make your experience smoother, more flexible, and better suited to both daily use and rugged environments.
✅ What’s New in This Update
The latest Titan 2 update (Nov 2025) brings several fixes and enhancements:
-
Fixed issues that caused background music playback to be unexpectedly stopped.
-
Improved how notifications display on the Sub-Screen (rear mini display).
-
Removed unnecessary cast prompts in certain apps (e.g. banking apps).
-
Fixed cloned-app behaviour prompting user selection at every launch.
-
Restored reliability: shortcut key now reliably turns on flashlight from sleep mode.
-
Improved keyboard reliability: resolved “Enter” key unresponsiveness and slow cursor behavior in word-processing/text apps.
-
Added new user-friendly features:
• Double-tap to turn off screen
• Customizable shortcut key mapping (e.g. map to Power button)
• Left–right split-screen support — great for multitasking
• Mini-Mode width toggle — helps with apps not displaying correctly on default width in split-screen mode.
• Option to lock watch-face on Sub-Screen (prevents accidental screen changes)
• More customizable gestures for the physical keyboard touchpad (scroll, swipe) for smoother navigation.
Whether you use Titan 2 for productivity, communication, or rugged field work — these updates help deliver a more stable, flexible, and usable experience.
🌍 What This Means for Unihertz South Africa Users
For our South African customers at Unihertz SA, these software refinements carry real-world value:
-
Better reliability for work and outdoor use: Fixed background-app issues, more stable keyboard and shortcut behavior improve dependability — especially useful when working in the field, remote sites, or off-grid.
-
Enhanced multitasking: Split-screen support plus mini-mode makes Titan 2 more efficient for multi-app workflows — think emails + ERP/farming apps, or messaging + navigation — without buying extra hardware.
-
Improved user experience: Smoother keyboard behavior, customizable buttons, and display tweaks mean everyday tasks (typing, reading notifications, quick functions) feel more professional and seamless.
-
Adapted to mobile professionals & adventurers: The updates reinforce Titan 2’s positioning as a rugged, productivity-ready smartphone — ideal for remote work, outdoor projects, travel, or any context where a regular smartphone may struggle.
🛠 How to Update — and What to Do Before You Install
To get the update: go to Settings > About Phone > System Update on your Titan 2.
Important: Back up your data and ensure your battery is sufficiently charged before installing — to ensure a smooth, disruption-free update.
⚠️ Note: Do not use unofficial flashing tools to install the update — doing so may wipe important parameters and void warranty support. If parameters are lost, you’ll need to send the device in for re-configuration — which is not covered under warranty.
🔎 Final Thoughts
Titan 2 is evolving — and this update shows Unihertz’s dedication to improving user experience and device reliability, even after launch. For South African users juggling work, travel, rugged environments or multi-app workflows, these improvements make the Titan 2 an even stronger choice.
If you haven’t updated yet — now is a great time. And for those who’ve been holding off, the new updates might just be the push you need.
