Upgraded from the Titan 2 to the Elite and the performance difference is immediately noticeable. The more powerful chip handles everything smoothly. Keyboard feel is identical — still the best physical keyboard on a smartphone. Battery is exceptional. Worth every rand.
As a senior manager who also does site visits, this phone handles board-level email in the morning and MIL-STD field conditions in the afternoon. Nothing else on the market does both. The keyboard means I can respond to email properly from anywhere.
The Elite gives you noticeably better performance for the same keyboard and rugged experience. Apps open faster and multitasking is smoother. If you use your phone heavily for work, the Elite is worth the extra cost over the standard Titan 2.
I have been a smartphone user since 2009 and this is the first phone that has felt perfectly designed for how I actually work. Physical keyboard, rugged build, exceptional battery, and now enough processing power to run everything without lag. Perfect.
I used BlackBerry Passport until 2022 and have been unhappy with every touchscreen phone since. The Titan 2 Elite is the phone I have been waiting for. Keyboard is better than the Passport, specs are modern, battery is outstanding. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The Elite genuinely feels faster than the standard Titan 2 in daily use. Everything else is the same quality — keyboard, build, battery. If you are choosing between the two, go Elite. The performance difference is worth the price gap.
The hardware is excellent. My only frustration is that most apps are not optimised for a physical keyboard. Over time I have set up shortcuts for my main apps and it is now significantly faster. Just takes some initial setup time.
