I use the projector almost daily for presentations at client sites. With regular projector use the battery still lasts 5 full days. Without projection it goes beyond a week. The 200MP camera is remarkable for site documentation. Dropped it twice on concrete floors without any damage. At 696g it is heavy but the tradeoff for a week of battery and a built-in projector is absolutely worth it.
We are a small outdoor education school and the Tank 3 Pro projects our lessons onto a field wall using sunlight as ambient lighting in a shaded spot. Battery lasts the whole school week. The IP68 rating means rain days are no problem. The 200MP camera captures exceptional quality field photos. A remarkable educational tool.
Bought the Tank 3 Pro at a reduced price after the TANK 4 Pro was released. For the discount it is exceptional value. The projector works well in dark environments, battery is outstanding, and the 200MP camera is genuinely impressive. Main downside vs TANK 4 Pro is the older Dimensity 8200 chip (still fast) and no AMOLED screen.
5 of us on a 4-day Cederberg camping trip. Projected movies onto a tarp every night from this phone. Used the phone for GPS and photos throughout the day. Never ran out of battery on any night. The 23800mAh is a genuine game-changer for off-grid entertainment.
I expected a toy projector and got something genuinely useful. In a dark room the image is clear enough for a movie at around 60-inch size. For presentations it works perfectly. Battery at 23800mAh is extraordinary. The 200MP camera outperforms most phones I have used at double the price. Weight takes adjustment but you forget about it after a few days.
Everything about this phone is excellent except the projector needs a very dark room to look good. In dim light it is acceptable. In a bright room it is too faint. If you primarily want the projector for outdoor use at night or dark rooms, it is great. The battery, camera, and ruggedness are all outstanding. Just manage your projector expectations.
I kept track: 10 days on one charge with moderate daily use and one movie per night. This is genuinely exceptional. The projector is fun and functional, the 200MP camera is stunning for portraits and landscapes, and the IP68 has been tested in Eastern Cape rainstorms. The local warranty from Unihertz SA was a key factor in my decision.
I used to carry a separate power bank on every trip. The Tank 3 Pro made it redundant. 23800mAh means I can charge my laptop, tablet, and colleague's phone from this device and still have 60% left after 5 days. The projector is a bonus that makes camping genuinely fun. A very good buy at the current South African price.
I need to be honest: 696g is very heavy for daily use. I bought this expecting to use it as my main phone but the weight became exhausting. The battery, camera, and projector are all excellent. For field workers who carry the phone in a holster or bag it would be perfect. For pocket carry it is genuinely impractical.
